When Endinda Krista reached out to me from halfway across the world, we embarked on a journey to bring her vision of "Induk Macan" to life. This parenting book, blending Gentle Parenting with the strict norms of Asian tiger parents, needed a design that could speak to both worlds.

From concept sketches to final layouts, I wore many hats—illustrator, designer, problem-solver. The time difference between the USA and Indonesia tested our collaboration, but technology bridged the gap. The biggest challenge was managing the entire design process solo, while ensuring that both Indonesian and English versions resonated with their audiences.

After many late nights and iterative design sessions, we crafted a book cover that Krista loved—a cover that now graces the shelves of Indonesian bookstores. The book has garnered attention from parenting influencers, boosting its reach even before the English e-book release.

Every detail of this project, from color choices to typography, was carefully considered to align with the book’s message. It’s more than just a cover; it’s the face of a movement that’s touching lives. And for me, it was a reminder of the power of design to cross borders and cultures.
